Version 1.1 Revised 24 August 2026 Applies to sperfy.com Cookies set 1

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, and hand back the next time you visit. This page lists every cookie sperfy.com sets, what it holds and how long it lasts. If the list ever changes, this page changes with it in the same release.

1. What this covers

This policy covers sperfy.com only. It sits alongside the privacy policy, which explains the wider picture of how personal data is handled here.

Under Romanian Law 506/2004 and the GDPR, anything beyond what the site strictly needs requires your agreement before it runs. That is what the banner is for, and refusing costs you no functionality here.

2. The cookie we set

Cookies set by sperfy.com, complete as of version 1.1
Name Set by What it holds Category Lifetime
sperfy_consent sperfy.com, first party Your choice for each category, the version of the consent notice you saw, the time you saved it, and whether the choice came from the banner, the preferences panel or a Global Privacy Control signal Strictly necessary 180 days

It is set with the attributes Path=/, SameSite=Lax and, over an HTTPS connection, Secure. It holds no name, no email address and no identifier that follows you to another website.

No measurement or marketing cookie is installed on this site at present. The two switches exist so that consent is already in place, and correctly recorded, on the day one is added. Until then, switching them on changes nothing you would notice.

3. The three categories

Strictly necessary

Always on, because the site cannot do its job without them. Today this category contains one cookie, sperfy_consent, which remembers your answer so the banner does not ask again on every page.

Measurement

Off until you turn it on. If a measurement tool is added, it would count page visits and reading time so I know which explanations to expand. Any cookie it sets would be listed in the table above before the tool goes live.

Marketing

Off until you turn it on. This would let an advertising platform recognise that a visit followed one of my advertisements. Nothing in this category runs on your first visit, and nothing runs at all without the switch.

4. Files loaded from elsewhere

Two external sources serve files to this site: Google Fonts for the typefaces, and jsDelivr for two small JavaScript libraries. Neither sets a cookie here. Both receive the IP address of your request, because that is how a file gets delivered to a browser. The privacy policy covers what that means.

There are no advertising pixels, social media widgets or embedded videos on this site.

5. Changing your choice

Your answer is kept for 180 days, after which the banner asks again. You can change it sooner whenever you like.

The same control sits at the bottom of every page, under "Paperwork". Saving a change takes effect immediately. Turning a category off also stops anything in it from loading for the rest of the visit.

6. Global Privacy Control

Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control signal, which is a machine readable request not to share personal data or pass it on for money. The site honours it. When the signal is present and you have not already chosen, measurement and marketing are recorded as refused, the banner stays down and the preferences panel says so. You can still turn a category on by hand if you want to.

7. Browser controls

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them and block future ones, usually under privacy or site settings. Deleting sperfy_consent makes the banner reappear on your next visit, because your answer lived in that cookie and nowhere else.

Blocking cookies for sperfy.com entirely is fine. The banner will simply ask again on every page, since it has nowhere to write the answer.

8. Changes

If a cookie is added, the table in section 2 is updated in the same release that adds it, the version number at the top of this page goes up, and repeat visitors are asked again where the change needs fresh consent. Questions go to privacy@sperfy.com.
